CordsOfPenance Rustic Prayer Beads – just beads, no cross, crucifix or medal attached – can be used to count without having to concentrate on the counting, no matter what tradition you are most familiar with. With their 10-plus-one beads, separated by knots, they are designed to count the typical Christian set of 10 Ave Marias and 1 Pater Noster as common in the Holy Rosary and many chaplets, but are not obviously Roman Catholic or even Christian in design and thus not restricted to any particular tradition.
Bead strands help enormously to keep track of numbers without having to count in our head, thus freeing us up for deep prayer and contemplation. They have been used in many religious traditions for many centuries, with varying numbers of beads of various sizes and materials.

The Stainless-Steel and Paracord Bead Strand features eleven 8mm stainless steel beads. The last bead is separated by two knots instead of one to mark the end of the set of 10. The smooth, heavy stainless-steel beads contrast pleasantly with the knots. This prayer bead strand has a masculine aesthetic to it due to the OD Green Type III paracord it is strung on.
