ALL SALES FINAL

Due to the handcrafted nature of our products and the personal, devotional, and hygiene-sensitive nature of many items we sell, all sales are final.

CordsofPenance.com does not accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, or order modifications once an order has been placed.

Customers are encouraged to carefully review all product descriptions, dimensions, specifications, photographs, and ordering information prior to purchase.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

For health, hygiene, safety, quality-control, and religious-use considerations, the following items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

  • Cilices
  • Disciplinas
  • Whips
  • Floggers
  • Penance cords
  • Prayer cords
  • Penance bundles
  • Custom-made products
  • Personalized products
  • Limited-production items
  • Any product that has been opened, handled, used, altered, worn, or damaged after delivery

ORDER ACCURACY

Customers are solely responsible for providing accurate billing information, shipping information, and contact information at the time of purchase.

CordsofPenance.com is not responsible for orders delayed, lost, misdelivered, returned, or otherwise affected due to incorrect information supplied by the customer.

If an order is returned because of inaccurate or incomplete shipping information, additional shipping charges may be required before reshipment.

DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ORDERS

If you receive an item that was damaged during shipment or if you receive a product different from what was ordered, you must notify us within seven (7) calendar days of confirmed delivery.

Claims must include:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the product
  • Clear photographs of the shipping packaging
  • Any other information reasonably requested to evaluate the claim

Upon review, CordsofPenance.com may, at its sole discretion:

  • Replace the item;
  • Issue a partial refund;
  • Issue a full refund;
  • Offer store credit; or
  • Provide another reasonable resolution.

Failure to report shipping damage or order discrepancies within seven (7) days may result in denial of the claim.

SHIPPING POLICY

CordsofPenance.com currently ships only to addresses located within the continental United States.

Orders submitted with delivery addresses outside the continental United States may be canceled and refunded at our discretion prior to shipment.

We reserve the right to refuse shipment to any destination that presents legal, logistical, carrier, fraud-prevention, or operational concerns.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Customers located outside the continental United States may be able to purchase eligible products through our Etsy shop, where available.

We utilize Etsy for international transactions because Etsy provides secure payment processing, buyer and seller protections, shipment tracking, and international shipping support. This helps ensure a safe and reliable transaction for both parties.

Availability of products, pricing, shipping methods, taxes, and delivery destinations may differ between CordsofPenance.com and our Etsy shop.

International orders placed through Etsy are governed by Etsy’s policies and terms in addition to any applicable CordsofPenance policies.

Customers are solely responsible for:

  • Customs duties
  • Import taxes
  • VAT
  • Brokerage fees
  • Inspection fees
  • Any other charges imposed by local authorities

CordsofPenance.com is not responsible for customs processing delays, import restrictions, border inspections, or other governmental actions affecting international shipments.

SHIPPING DELAYS

Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Shipping carriers occasionally experience delays beyond our control. Weather conditions, transportation disruptions, labor actions, carrier backlogs, customs processing, natural disasters, governmental actions, and other unforeseen circumstances may affect delivery times.

Such delays do not qualify for refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, or compensation.

REFUSED OR UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES

Orders refused by the customer or returned as undeliverable due to inaccurate shipping information, failure to accept delivery, failure to pay customs charges, or similar circumstances may require additional shipping charges before reshipment.

If reshipment is not possible or is declined by the customer, no refund is guaranteed and any resolution shall be determined solely at the discretion of CordsofPenance.com.

CHARGEBACKS AND PAYMENT DISPUTES

Customers agree to contact CordsofPenance.com first regarding any order issue before initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, or claim with a payment processor.

Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.

If a customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute for an order that complies with this policy, CordsofPenance.com reserves the right to:

  • Submit documentation supporting its position to the payment processor;
  • Contest the chargeback or dispute;
  • Suspend future purchasing privileges; and
  • Refuse future orders.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CordsofPenance.com shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from the purchase, shipment, delivery, delay, use, or inability to use any product purchased through this website.

Our total liability for any claim relating to an order shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

EXCEPTIONS

Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

CordsofPenance.com reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis at its sole discretion and without establishing any obligation to provide similar accommodations in future circumstances.
