For your consideration we offer this seven-fall Disciplina with a decorative wooden handle and long 100%-hemp falls. It was fashioned from natural materials and combines functionality with simple grace.
The smooth, attractive ash handle, simple by design with a hand-painted cross symbol in penitential purple and a matte finish, lies well in the hand for easy use and balanced action. It measures 8″ in length and has a circumference of 5″.
The seven 1/4″ true, 100% hemp falls measure 27″ on average. Each fall is knotted three times. Due to its weight, hemp makes for weighty falls that provide an even swing. The intensity of the effect achieved with any whip or flogger will be best established by the owner.

The Disciplina Defined:
A Disciplina is an ancient instrument of self-discipline and penance, traditionally used during the spiritual discipline of the mortification of the flesh in order to aid sanctification. Many Christian denominations, including Anglicans, Lutherans, and Roman Catholics, have used the Disciplina extensively. The seven falls stand for the seven deadly sins: Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth, and Wrath.
“And when he [Jesus] had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise. And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.” John 2:15-17, KJV
