This 10-plus-1 knotted Prayer Bead Strand sports 10 black horn beads and the 1 wooden barrel bead.  They are separated by knots for easy transition from one bead to another: The nice large horn beads run smoothly through your fingers and are pleasant to hold, the barrel bead providing easily felt contrast at the end of the set of 10. The upper end of the string is looped so your bead strand does not slip out of your hands easily.

Strung on OD Green Type III paracord with a wood barrel-shaped end piece, this prayer bead strand is especially well suited for someone with bigger hands.

Bead strands can also be used to count strokes with the discipline without having to concentrate on the counting. This bead strand is designed to count the typical Christian set of 10 Ave Marias and 1 Pater Noster as common in the Rosary and many chaplets.
