Penitential Purple Disciplinas

We now offer Disciplinas with sisal grips dyed in penitential purple.  The falls are either made from sisal also, or from pure hemp rope.

As a liturgical color, purple symbolizes penance, preparation, and sacrifice. Therefore, purple is used during Advent and Lent first and foremost, encouraging the faithful to pursue self-examination and spiritual growth. Purple is also worn during funerals where it symbolizes mourning as well as hope of the resurrection.
